Article Five--Organization

 

1. The hierarchy of the organization is as follows:

 

General membership meeting: all members

Board meeting: Board of Directors

 

            Presidential Office:

                        President

                        Vice president

                        Secretary

                        Treasurer (2)

 

Officers[i]:

            Webmaster

Membership officer

Public Relations

Fundraising officers

Activity organizer and others

                       

Advisory Board: Legal Adviser (Qu,Delin)

 

 

2. The general membership meeting shall have the highest power in decision-making. In the off-meeting period, the board of directors oversees the business managed by presidential office and upper management.

 

3. Election will be held for every 1 year in mid-August.

 

4. Currently there are seven board director[ii] positions, and 6 of them will be all elected by the general membership meeting expected in August in the first year, and the elected President takes one board of director’s position. 3 out of the 6 elected directors will have a term of two years and the rest 3 directors have a term of one year for the fist term. The number of votes received in the general election will determine the two-year directors and one-year directors in order. The one-year directors only exist in the first year’s election. In subsequent years, only half (3) of the directors will be elected. Board of directors can be re-elected with term limitation.

 

5. The board directors have voting power.

 

6. The President and vice president will be elected by membership meeting in the first year. They will serve for a term of one year, with the possibility term for another year if re-elected. In the following year,

 

7. All the officers and the secretary and the treasurer(s) are appointed by the president and approved by the board directors in the board meeting.
