Article Six--Officers & Responsibilities
The officers listed in the above organization have the
following responsibilities.
1. The president shall set the business plan for his term, preside at all membership meetings, be chairperson of the board meetings, appoint the secretary, the treasurer and the subcommittee chairmen on behalf of the board, be one of the officers required to sign the check s and drafts of the organization, and present at the annual membership meeting an annual report of the work of the organization under his direction.
2. The vice president shall, in the event of the absence
or inability of the president to exercise his or her office, become acting
president of the organization with all the rights, privileges and power as if
he or she had been the duly elected president.
3. The secretary shall keep the minutes and record of the
organization in appropriate books, file any certificate required by any
federal or state statute, be one of the officers required to sign the drafts
of the organization, submit to the board of directors any communications
addressed to the secretary of the organization, and exercise all duties
incident to the office of secretary.
4. The treasurer shall take care of all the money and the
finance of this organization, keep good books of all the financial activities,
be one of the officers who shall sign checks of the organization, present
financial report sin the quarterly board meetings, and shall exercise all
duties incident to the office of treasurer.
5. The chairman of the membership committee shall be responsible for the membership drive, collecting and up-dating all members’ information.
6. The chairman of the program committee shall be
responsible for organizing activities that fulfill the purpose of this
organization, such as an annual technical conference, quarterly meetings for
technology exchange and social get together, special sessions for special
occasion, etc.
7. The chairman of the publication committee shall be responsible for publishing the up-dated membership list, proceedings of the conferences, and periodic communications.
